DAYS LIKE THIS

There will be good days, beautiful days actually, full of life, love and laughter. When the sun shines just enough and the birds chirp to your dance rhythm. Days when life will be an epitome of merry. When things you desire, wish for and want will sail smoothly into reality; your reality, and when the natural order of things will seem to align to your needs, for your happiness. Such days will make you cherish life, you’ll want to live it to the fullest, embracing every breath; a lust for life. After all, it’s the pretty side to life. Don’t we all want such days?
Then there will be bad days, gloomy days. When the dark clouds will hang so low, threatening to erode off your hopes and dreams, and then they’ll break into heavy showers, so heavy that you’ll lock out life, throw away the key and crave some deep slumber, peaceful and restful, one with no end. Days when the very thought of existence will drain the remaining ounce of life out of you and all that makes life worth living will cease to have meaning.
Such days will seem long, unending, and they will be utterly devastating. Somehow, you’ll forget about the good days, when all you wanted to do was exist. But then again, Can there be light without darkness?
And then there will be days like this, which are quite undecided; neither good nor bad, neither happy nor sad. (Like please just pick a side, go for the good happy side though). When life is a routine and emotions are a vacuum. Days when you’ll chase after simple pleasures and lose hold of them the moment you grasp them. The kind of days that leave you wanting a manual from the Maker of Life; a sense of direction, a sense of purpose, to give meaning to the emptiness. Such days, if you ask me, (which you didn’t, but I’ll keep going) are like the itsy-bitsy holes in a woven fabric, a product of the interweaving of long threads, where you get lost before finding yourself. But then again, they may not be. After all, a glass can be half full or half empty, yours to choose.
(For you, on days like this!)
I love your flow of thoughts, makes me see you in a new light.....keep going!
